They are done and just in time for Thanksgiving! (whew!) One album for the lovely couple in distressed black leather with their names branded, and two for their parents in mooless black with gold imprinting. I included a few of my favorite pages too!

So happy to make my new website and blog live! Since discovering Showit Fast over the summer, I have been wanting to use it to build a new website. I was skeptical at first because it all seemed too good to be true, but let me tell you, it delivers. I have a good bit of web design knowledge, but I never learned Flash. Showit lets me still use those skills but makes it easy for me to build a custom flash based website and take advantage of tons of cool features, widgets even video. I also decided it was finally time to merge my wedding and editorial work into one site, blog and custom Photoshelter archive. Enough of this fractured approach. I’m a photographer who shoots weddings and editorial work, there I’ve said it. I’ve not only combined the site, but also the branding because ultimately whether photographing a wedding or a prison rodeo, I am still the same photographer. Really.
Most importantly, Showit allows me to concentrate on the content and user experience factors way over the technology. I hope it shows, so here it is! (Check it out in full screen, see the icon in the upper right-hand corner)

Congrats to my adorable parents, Peggie and Phil! They have been married 34 years this Sunday. And they are still in love! I’m so blessed to have such great parents and role models.

Brace yourself New Orleans, hundreds of wedding photographers will be in town for Partner Con 2009 this week. I just hope to learn a lot and make some new friends! And to top off the week, my friend Lindsay is getting married and I’m a bridesmaid! It is going to be so hard after getting all pumped about wedding photography to not be shooting, but it will be fun to get to be in the photos for once.
