Julie and Aaron choose an exciting time to tie the knot at the Terrell House in New Orleans. Between Mardi Gras parades and the Saints in the Super Bowl, the entire city was in a festive mood. The Terrell House was the perfect setting for Julie and Aaron’s intimate wedding. Following the court yard ceremony, guests were treated to crabmeat omelettes, shrimp and grits and mini PB &J for the kids. The jazz quartet provided just the right ambience to a truly New Orleans style celebration.
I’ve been so lucky to get to visit Basel twice for Fasnacht. In honor of the start of this year’s celebration -which began at 4 am this morning- here’s a collection of my favorite images- Carnival in Basel
I’m so proud of the Saints and so happy for the city of New Orleans! It was reported in the Times-Picayune that an estimated 800,000 people turned out to see the Saints Super Bowl parade. For a city of not even a quarter of a million residents, that is huge! Glad to have been home for this historic season and epic victory. I know we will be feeling the positive effects of this win for quite some time!
It was a gorgeous day for the wedding of Julie and Aaron at the Terrell House. Julie is a wedding photographer herself, so it is quite the honor to have been chosen to document her big day! Much more to come…..
The late New Orleans sportscaster Buddy Diliberto said he’d wear a dress if the Saints made it to the Super Bowl. They did and to honor Buddy D, hundreds of men in dresses and drag paraded from the Superdome to Bourbon Street. Including my adorable husband Ryan! Only in New Orleans, only in New Orleans……
